Unblocktober 2024: One Month to Go - Are You Ready to Make a Difference?

The time has come for us to unite once again in a cause that’s close to our hearts - keeping our drains, sewers and seas clean. It’s almost time for Unblocktober 2024, the world’s first month-long national campaign dedicated to improving the health of our water systems, driven entirely by the British public. And this year, we’re counting on you to be part of this worthy movement!

With just one month to go, it’s time to gear up, spread the word, and get ready to take action. Unblocktober kicks off in October, and we’re thrilled to invite individuals, families and businesses to join us in protecting the environment from the damage caused by improper waste disposal.

What Is Unblocktober?

Unblocktober is the world’s first month-long national campaign and awareness month to improve the health of our drains, sewers, watercourses and seas - driven completely by the British public.
Launched in 2019, the first Unblocktober saw more than 4,500 Britons across the country pledge to change their kitchen and bathroom habits at home and at work.  

Why should you care?

Every small action counts. It’s easy to feel powerless in the face of environmental challenges, but Unblocktober is here to prove that you can make a real difference. By making simple changes to what we put down our drains, each of us has the power to protect our watercourses and reduce the formation of fatbergs.

How you can join the movement
